3 Day Retreat with Rebecca Otte, JDPSN, Friday, May 30th through Sunday, June 1st

The Yong Maeng Jong Jin (“To leap like a tiger while sitting”) retreat is being held at Bo Hyun Sa Temple in Southwest Ranches – a setting ideally suited for more intensive practice.

Please join us for all or part of this wonderful practice opportunity. Each day’s schedule consists of Zen practice (bowing, chanting, sitting, and walking), work and rest periods, and vegetarian meals eaten in traditional temple style. It also includes talks and kong-an teaching interviews with a zen teacher.

The retreat begins Friday, May 30th at 4:30 am, and ends with a circle talk on Sunday, June 1st at 10:00 am, followed by a precepts ceremony.

Rebecca began practicing zen meditation in 1995.  She took senior dharma teacher precepts in 2007 which allows her to give consulting interviews.  She took Bodhisattva precepts in 2016 and in December 2020 received inka.  She is a founding member of Prairyerth Zen Center.  She lives in Topeka with her husband, Ken and is retired from her profession as a nurse midwife.
